Capable Planet / Vilamoura Sailing is based at Marina de Vilamoura, in Portugal’s south coast, with fantastic onshore facilities to host large international sailing events, namely:
- 2 large slipways.
- Racing areas 10 min away from the slipways.
- 10.000 sqm of boat parking facilities.
- Very good marina facilities – fuel station, cranes, maintenance availability, restaurants and shops, etc.
- Race office and other relevant facilities – specific rooms for race committee jury, gym, showers, etc.
Suitable space and helpers will be available to unload and re-load charter boats, and they will be optional for the championship. Cranes and fork lifts available.
Boat park
Boats will be stored in a close park inside Marina de Vilamoura, with security 24 hrs / day and CCTV and accreditation based access.
Dinghy spares shop
An on site or close will be available for a ILCA equipment shop.
Toilet and showering facilities
The site has sufficient facilities for the sailors and visitors, namely toilet, showering and changing facilities.
Catering
Meals will be served in a tent and restaurants nearby.
